The Newcastle Journal 14/12/1915 reports:-
OBITUARY. SERGEANT WRIGHT. DURHAM.
Orderly Room Sergt. Wright died suddenly at his residence in Sutton Street, Durham, yesterday morning. Sergt. Wright was a member of the 4th Durham Volunteers, which, under the Territorial scheme, became the 8th D.L.I. was with them at camp in Conway when war broke out, and had since been engaged in permanent duties at the Durham Drill Hall, with the Reserve line of the battalion. He was the possessor of a long service medal. Sergt. Wright, who was 56 years of age, was unmarried.
