Robinson, B., Sgt., 1945
In Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 3041016 Sergeant Basil Robinson, serving with 77th Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 14/02/1945.

77th Squadron based at Elvington, Yorkshire (4th Group). Converted from Whitleys to B Mk II Halifaxes in October 1942, but these were recalled and B Mk Vs issued. On 30th November 1942, the latter were recalled pending issue of modified B Mk IIs. Between 9th and 11th November 1943, the B Mk IIs were exchanged for 20 B Mk Vs. Moved to Full Sutton Yorkshire, in May 1944 and converted to B Mk IIIs. Began converting to B Mk VIs in March 1945 and used both types for last operational mission against Wangerooge on th 25th April 1945.

Sgt. Robinson was serving with 77 Sqdn. He was a crew member of Halifax III MZ803 KN-G which took off from Full Sutton on a bombing mission to Bohlen. All the crew died.He had been involved before the war with the Air Training Corps.
