In Worms (Hochheim Hill) Cemetery, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany is the Commonwealth War Grave of 48165 Private Esben Clarke serving with the 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regimant who died 28/09/1918.

Son of Henry and Harriet Clarke, of Church Walk, Necton, Swaffham, Norfolk.

Ebden was born at Necton in Norfolk 31st August 1899. His parents Henry and Harriett Clarke had a number of children all born in the Norfolk area.

Soldiers Died states that Ebden was living at Croxdale and enlisted at Ferryhill.

He died as a prisoner of war 28th September 1918.
