Anthony Hall.
Rifleman 202491, Rifle Bde. (The Prince Consort’s Own) 20 BN (Northern) (TF) 8.4.1917. Egyptian Exp. Force. Buried Tanta Burial ground of American Mission, Tanta, Egypt. Born Sherburn, Durham. Enlisted Spennymoor 12/9/1914 as Pte. 3712 6 Bn. D.L.I. Lived Belvoir Cottage, Merrington Lane, Low Spennymoor with his aunt, Isabella Jackson who was also recorded as his next of kin. Occupation cokeman. Transferred to Rifle Brigade 25/9/1915. He died of heart failure following heart disease at Tanta, Egypt. Army casualty form has his serial number as 414/202491.

He is remembered at Spennymoor on S131.02 S131.16 and in Tudhoe Grange on T65.01
