Watson, J.M., Cpl., 1915
In Harlebeke New British Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 8/1983 Corporal Joseph Matthew Watson, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 10/05/1915.

He is named in the Scout Roll of Honour as serving with the 8th Durham Light Infantry. He was "1st Assistant Master of the 1st Shildon Troop. Wounded and taken prisoner, died about May 12th".

He is remembered in Shildon on S122.01, S122.02, S122.03 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 114.
