My paternal great grandfather was 459395 Sapper Robert Thomas Hughes who served with the Royal Engineers 400th Field Coy.
He was a miner living at 2 Owen Terrace Tantobie. He was married to Jane Ann and they had four small sons. He enlisted on 9th April 1915 and was discharged 20th January 1919.
