In Florennes Communal Cemetery, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1082024 Sergeant Frank Gettings, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 25/06/1943.

Sgt. Gettings died when Handley Page Halifax II JD144 DY-Q of 102 Squadron was lost on a mission to Wuppertal. The Halifax crashed at 02.30 near Barvaux, Luxembourg, with the loss of five of the seven crew members, including Sgt. Gettings; two survived to become P.o.W.s.

It was intercepted at 5700M, 6km NE of Barvraux by a Night-Fighter captained by Lt Friedrich Graeff (Stab I/NJG4) and shot down at 0217 for his 5th Abschuss
