Many of those accessing the NEWMP Website have commented on the usefulness of David Butler's guide to researching War Memorials - found via the links on our Home Page under "Research War Memorials"

David, and ourselves, were conscious that, based as it was on his work on the First World War Memorial at Mallton, it did need to be further expanded to reflect later conflicts, especially the Second World War.

We are very grateful that David has now completed this work, and the revisions have been incorporated into the Website, including details of useful addresses for records, and relevant bibliography.
