Jonathan Young in June 2017 writes:-

William Ewan (Bill) Catto was adviser to author James Leasor for "Boarding Party" which was made into the film "The Sea Wolves", although Bill did not approve of the film, and wanted his credit removed. I'm unsure, but I don't think Bill actually took part in Operation Creek.

My aunt Elisabeth Litster Catto was the daughter of Major William Hoare Hatchell Young MBE MC, but he had no connection with the North East. Her great-grand- father, Archibald Litster, from Wemyss, Fife was a 79th Cameron Highlander who stayed on in India. Through their grandmother, Elisabeth's children are the sixth generation to have been born in India.
