War graves near Amiens
The Morpeth Herald 25/08/1922 carries the following letter from Mr. T.W. Boal of 12 West Street, Berwick on Tweed:

“Sir, I have recently visited a small cemetery at Vaux-on Amienois, near Amiens, France, and found graves of the following there:

Q.M.S. Knight. 6th Batt., A.I.F., November 22nd, 1916;
Lieut. T.B. Dixon, 1st Batt. Coldstream Guards, Dec. 8th 1916;
2nd Lieut. A. Isherwood, 6th Batt. N.F. December 6th 1916;
2074 Corpl. J.E. Boal, 7th N.F., Dec. 8th, 1916;
2295 Corpl. S. Francis, 5th N.F., December 8th 1916;
2553 Pte. R.L. Johnson, 5th N.F. Dec. 8th, 1916;
3391 Pte. R.H. Duncan, 7th N.F., Dec. 8th, 1916;
946 Pte. W. Blackburn, 4th N.F. December 8th 1916;
1069 Sergt. H.S. Meehan, 13th Aus. Infantry Batt., Dec. 19th 1916;
1222 Sergt. J. Powell, 2nd Batt. Rifle Brigade, Dec. 19th 1916;
38163 Sergt. J. Redd, R.G.A.; Y50 T.M. Battery, Dec. 19th 1916;
6885 Pte. H. Silk, 23rd Batt, A.I.F. November 17th 1918. All accidentally killed.

I am writing this in the hope it may be seen by some relatives of these men, and to inform them that in the past, and on this, my third visit, I have found our boys’ graves very nicely kept. I will be pleased to give any information as to the best way to get to the cemetery.
