In Morpeth Town Hall is a brass plaque which reads:

Presented by
the
National War Savings Committee
to the citizens of
Morpeth
in recognition of the readiness with which
they lent their money to the country in
the financial campaigns carried out by the
Local War Savings Committee
during the
Great War
1914-1918
