Bell from H.M.S. Morpeth Castle

In 1965, a presentation was made to Morpeth Rural District Council of the bell from the corvette H.M.S. Morpeth Castle as a reminder of the close links between the ship and the town during 1939-45.

Comforts had been sent to the vessel.

The bell is now in the Town Hall.
