Regimental Orders 1923
The South Shields Gazette 20/04/1923 contains the following notice:

Tyne Electrical (Fortress) R.E. (T.A.)
Tradesmen are required to enlist for four years into the above Unit; ages between 17 and 38 years. Particulars at Headquarters on any Drill Night between 7.30 and 9.30 or during the day.
A few BANDSMEN are still required; up to 50 years.

Musketry Ponteland Rifle Range on Sundays, April 29th, May 6th and May 27th. Parade at the Fort at 8.30 a.m.
Weekend Camp Manning Defence Electrical Light. Parade at the Fort Saturday April 21st, 2 p.m.
Church Parade St. Peter's. North Shields. Parade at the Fort Sunday, April 22nd, 10 a.m. Dress: Church Order (medals to be worn).
Unveiling of Tynemouth War Memorial Hawkey's Lane, North Shields. Saturday April 28th at 2.30 p.m. Volunteers are required for a Guard of Honour for the Lord Lieutenant of the County and for a Representative Detachment. Parade at the Fort 1.30 p.m. Dress: Church Order (with rifles), medals to be worn. Officers attending to wear swords.
