This band banner was presented to the Borough of Berwicj-upon-Tweed / by the 7th Bn. Royal Northumberland Fusiliers (TA) on the winding up / of the Bn. in May 1970, in appreciation of the very close association between / the Bn. and the Borough since the Bn. came into being in 1908.
From that date Berwick-upon-Tweed was the company headquarters / of its "D" Company. In 1975 a new Bn. called the 6th Volunteer Bn. / the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was formed with a detachment / in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
