Morpeth Herald 14/10/1999 carries a posed company photo of a camp at Gandale, Yorks. The company was called up on Friday, Sept. 1st 1939 when they reported to the Drill Hall, Copper Chare, Morpeth, unaware of the events to follow. On the Saturday they were taken by bus through Gosforth Park and on the Sunday war was declared.
