Colours of 3rd Batt. 5th Northumberland Fusiliers

In St. Nicholas Cathedral are the Regimental Colours of the 3rd Batt. 5th N.F.

There is a plaque which reads:

These colours
were presented to the
3rd Battalion Fifth Fusiliers
by
H.R.H. Princess Henry of Battenberg
Governor of the Isle of Wight
at Parkhurst 25th October 1901.
The Battalion disbanded on 4th March 1907
and these Colours lodged in this Cathedral
on 22nd June 1908.
