There is a plaque which reads:
These colours
were presented to the
2nd Battalion Fifth Fusiliers
by Mrs. Stevenson
at Port Louis, Mauritius on 23rd April 1859.
They were replaced at Sabatha, India
on the 15th June 1914, were lodged in this Church
on the return of the 2nd Battalion from India
in December 1914 for the Great War,
and were finally laid up on the
24th July 1920.
