"Captain the Duke of Leeds, R.N.V.R. attended a musical evening held under the auspices of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Tyneside Division, at the Elswick Institute, and presented medals to members of the division, which played such a worth part during the war. Many members served afloat, and others took part in the Belgian landing in 1914 and were interned at Antwerp."
