Comrades of the Great War appeal for medal names
The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 26/05/1919 reports:

"Comrades of the Great War.
The Gosforth and Coxlodge Branch of the Comrades of the Great War would like every ex-service man residing in the urban district of Gosforth, who has won any distinctive honour in the great war (medals or cards of honour) to send his regimental number, regiment, rank, name and present address to the secretary at 219 High Street, Gosforth, before Saturday, May 31. This request includes officers and other ranks, whether they are members of the organisation or not."
