Tree planting 1922
As part of the Armistice Day commemoration in November 1922, 28 trees were planted in Gray and Gibb Squares by the Mayoress, the Mayor, Aldermen and councillors.
The trees had been presented by Alderman Gibb and Alderman Graham.

Northern Echo 13/11/1922 carries the report.
