The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 20/05/1919 reports on a Welcome Home event organised by the Geo. T. Grey & Co. Ltd., Holborn Engineering Works, in the Ingham Hall, to welcome home those who had returned from the war.
Fifty men from the firm had served, of whom thirty three had already returned to work. One, Mr. J. Matthews, had gained the Military Medal. Two employees had been killed.
