Commercial Travellers Recognition Dinner
The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 17/01/1920 reports on the Recognition Dinner given for the returned members of the Sunderland Branch of the United Kingdom Commercial Travellers' Association held in the Palatine Hotel.

Over 100 members attended. Three were recorded as having fallen: Mr. Joseph Cowey, Mr. W.B. Thirkell and Mr. W.M. Benson.

The UKCTA had contributed "a good number of men to the army."
