Plaque Ironside 1830 St.Michael's Church

In St. Michael and All Angels Church there is a plaque 1 foot 6 inches high x 2 feet 6 inches wide set on a pattress 3 feet wide x 2 feet high. There is a shallow pediment. The lettering is incised and blackened, using Roman capitals.

It reads:

Sacred
to the memory of
William Ironside Esqre
of H.M 33rd Regiment
only son of the late William Ironside Esqre
of this parish
who died on the 3rd of January 1830 aged 25years
and was buried at
Kensall Green Cemetery, near London.

His affectionate sister, Jane Bax,
caused this tablet
to be erected to his memory.
