Presentation to Mr. Ruitter Carr, Blaydon.
At the Wesleyan Church, Blaydon, Mr. Rutter Carr was presented with a silver rose bowl, suitably inscribed and a Bible, from the members of his young men’s class, as a token of esteem, and in appreciation of hi services. The Rev. T. Grant Tyler presided, and Mr. Thomas Jobling made the presentation; and appreciative remarks were made also by several members of the class, referring to the practical patriotism that Mr. Carr had shown towards local men whilst serving in His Majesty’s forces, by gifts of parcels, etc.
