He designed the Cross of Sacrifice bearing the bronze Crusader’s Sword which can be found in each Commonwealth War Grave Cemetery. There were four different patterns. Some of these can be found in local burial places, sometimes in conjunction with CWGC burials, or sometimes alone as a composite memorial.
